About DepthCarve

The expensive part of AI output begins after the model finishes

A grayscale preview is cheap. The wrong carve, failed blank, delayed customer order, or broken integration is not. DepthCarve is designed around the handoff from estimated depth to accountable real work.

The product boundary

Preview, prepare, verify

DepthCarve begins with a free comparison because a user should see whether the model understood the scene before paying for a professional format. Range, direction, dimensions, and density remain explicit instead of disappearing behind a single Generate button. The system then exports a representation for another verified tool; it does not pretend to replace CAM, a slicer, a laser controller, or a compositor.

This boundary protects both the user and the product. A technically completed but aesthetically unsuitable estimate can be rejected at the free stage. A provider that fails after a paid job begins triggers an automatic, uniquely referenced credit refund. A file that enters physical production still requires the workshop's normal simulation, calibration, material test, and safety process.

01

No false precision

Relative depth is labeled relative. A 16-bit compatibility container does not claim to invent missing model precision. A one-view geometry bundle does not claim to reveal every hidden surface.

02

No hidden accounting

Credits move through an append-only ledger with unique references. Export authorization, payment callbacks, reservations, and refunds are idempotent and auditable.

03

No source-image database

The browser compresses an image and sends it to the chosen inference provider on Generate. D1 stores job state and fingerprints, not the original uploaded image.

Who it is for

Users with a concrete next tool

The primary users are CNC and laser shops, relief-file sellers, 3D print makers, VFX artists, and product teams. Their willingness to pay comes from avoided failure cost and saved preparation time, not from the novelty of image inference. Casual users can explore the free PNG path without subsidizing a false unlimited promise.

How it is built

Small modules and loud failures

Cloudflare Workers serve the application and validate every API boundary. D1 holds accounts, jobs, rate limits, entitlements, analytics events, and the credit ledger. Fal provides the free depth preview; Replicate provides the richer MoGe2 bundle. Yito Pay isolates payment credentials. ZeptoMail and Feishu carry operational signals. Missing configuration or invalid provider output fails visibly rather than leaving a spinner running forever.

Judge the depth before it becomes geometry.

Start with a free source comparison. If the field earns approval, choose the smallest professional output that matches the next application.
