DepthCarve policy
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: August 23, 2026
These Terms govern use of DepthCarve. They create a clear boundary between estimated image output and the manufacturing, creative, or product decisions you make after download.
Eligibility and account responsibility
You must be legally able to enter these Terms and use DepthCarve only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for access to your email, active sessions, downloaded output, and every API key created for your account. Notify us promptly if an account or key may be compromised.
Do not share a live API key in public code, mobile applications, analytics, tickets, or screenshots. Do not bypass rate limits, probe other accounts or jobs, interfere with the service, automate abusive traffic, or use output to violate another person's rights or applicable law.
Your images and permitted processing
You retain rights you hold in source images and downloaded output. You grant DepthCarve and its inference providers the limited permission needed to transmit, process, and return the selected image. You represent that you have the rights and permissions required for that processing.
Do not upload illegal material, non-consensual intimate imagery, child sexual abuse material, content used for unlawful impersonation or deception, or a voice or likeness you have no right to exploit. DepthCarve may suspend abusive access and cooperate with valid legal requirements.
Model output and production responsibility
Depth maps and geometry are estimates. They may contain wrong object order, missing detail, halos, noise, distorted shape, incorrect scale, or incompatible coordinate conventions. Relative depth is not a certified metric measurement. A 16-bit compatibility container does not add precision missing from its source.
You must inspect files in the receiving software and independently choose all material, machine, tool, slicer, CAM, laser, VFX, and safety settings. DepthCarve does not provide G-code, engineering certification, medical output, or a guarantee that a mesh is printable or machinable. Always simulate and run an inexpensive test before production.
Credits, subscriptions, and availability
Free preview limits, successful-job costs, pack quantities, subscription grants, and API rate limits are shown on the Pricing page. One approved production job is idempotent for the same account and source, and rebuilding its available bundle does not create another debit. DepthCarve does not store source images or production ZIP binaries; provider links typically expire in about one hour. A failed or canceled provider job receives an automatic credit refund; a technically completed but aesthetically unsuitable output does not automatically qualify because the free preview is the acceptance step.
Subscriptions continue until canceled through the available billing portal. Features and providers may change when needed for security, reliability, law, or product quality. We do not promise uninterrupted service or permanent model-provider links. Planned and emergency downtime may occur.
Disclaimers and limitation
DepthCarve is provided on an as-available basis without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free output to the extent permitted by law. You assume responsibility for production decisions and backups.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DepthCarve is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, wasted material, machine damage, injury, or delayed orders arising from use of the service. Any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid DepthCarve during the twelve months before the claim, except where law does not allow that limit.
